Orbi Setup Using the Orbi App

Setting up your NETGEAR Orbi WiFi System with the Orbi App is simple and takes only a few minutes. Follow these steps to complete the Orbi Setup installation:

Download the Orbi App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device.
Connect your modem to the Orbi Router using the supplied Ethernet cable and power on both devices.
Wait until the router's LED indicates it is ready for Orbi Setup.
Launch the Orbi App and sign in using your NETGEAR account or create a new account if required for Orbi Login.
Tap Set Up a New Orbi System and allow the app to detect your router automatically.
Scan the QR code printed on the bottom of your Orbi Router when prompted by the app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create your WiFi network name (SSID) and secure password.
If you have Orbi Satellites, place them in the recommended locations and allow the app to sync them with the router.

Update Orbi WiFi Security Settings

Open a web browser and complete Orbi Login by visiting orbilogin.com or entering the router's default IP address.
Sign in using the Orbi administrator username and password to continue Orbi Login.
Navigate to the Wireless Settings section from the router dashboard.
Update your WiFi network name (SSID) if you want to personalize your wireless network.
Select WPA2-PSK (AES) or WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Mode for stronger wireless security, depending on your Orbi model.
Create a strong WiFi password using a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Click Apply or Save to store the new settings. The Orbi Router may restart automatically.
Reconnect all wireless devices using the updated WiFi network name and password after Orbi Login.
